The East Ashling site is a level field within the South Downs National Park, with plenty of space to be part of a group or tuck away on your own. 

An easy walk along a footpath into the village takes you to the Horse and Groom PH.  A little further on are beautiful walks through woodland or, for more serious walkers, routes up onto the South Downs at Kingley Vale for breathtaking views. 

Public Transport is available towards either of the two market towns of Petersfield or Chichester.  The Stagecoach No.54 stops at the Horse and Groom in East Ashling village.

A short drive to the next village of Funtington finds the Fox and Hounds PH or Hallidays (restaurant).

An Indian Restaurant/Takeaway, a Coop and a Fish & Chip Shop can be found less than 3 miles away in Bosham.  There is also a mainline train station, with a small car park, in Bosham with an hourly service to the beautiful, historic, market town of Chichester (and beyond) or towards Portsmouth Harbour for the Historic Dockyard and/or Gunwharf Quays.
